W. A. Watson

W. A. Watson, 88, husband of Betty Settle Watson, died Monday, September 13, 2021. Born in Homer, GA he was the son of the late Ralph Watson and Lessie Bone Watson and brother to the late James Watson, Francis Ware and Walter Lee Watson.  W.A. retired from the US Postal Service after 36 years and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his wife include one son: Brian (Penny) Watson; three siblings: Ray Watson, Roger (Beverly) Watson, Barbara (Herman) Watson Dove; three grandchildren: Hannah, Emily and Alice Watson and one great grandson: Landon Lee Lewis.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 1PM at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel. Interment will follow at Danielsville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4PM until 7PM at the funeral home.  Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephs.com
