Tracey Thrasher Moore, 63, of Crawford, Georgia passed away June 1, 2022.

Tracey was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 15, 1959. She graduated from Clarke Central High School in 1977. Tracey married Francis Donald Moore October 23, 2004. After 26 years, she retired from the Oglethorpe County School System as a Paraprofessional. Her school kids brought her so much joy and laughter. For many years she helped run the afterschool program at the Oglethorpe County Elementary school. She loved cooking and being surrounded by family and friends. You could find her in the mountains most weekends or at the Crawford Pool during the summer. Some of her hobbies included the People Magazine crossword puzzle and completing up to level 962 on Candy Crush. Also, you could find her reading the Echo every Thursday, fresh out of the mailbox. She was a member of Grove Chapel Church in Winterville, Georgia. Tracey never met a stranger, loved to make people laugh, and was often referred to as the life of the party.

Tracey is survived by her husband of 17 years, Don Moore, her children, Ansley Braxton (married to James Braxton), Hayes Thrasher, David Moore; granddaughter Emmie Braxton. She is also survived by her mother, Barbara Wilder Johnson, sister, Jennifer Johnson, niece, Sami Johnson, Aunt, Dorothy “Dottie” Cunningham; cousins, Audrey Brown and Tina Watkins.  Additional family members include nieces and nephews, cousins.

Tracey’s drop-in celebration of life will be held at Grove Chapel Church on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Oglethorpe County School system, or Grove Chapel Church Youth program. She loved seeing our future generations succeed and supporting fellow colleagues.
