Teresa F. Trelles, 83, of Athens, passed away on May 18, 2023. Born on September 13, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Leonor Iglesias Aguirre De Lynch and Adolfo Lynch Pazos.
She loved to travel. Before her first stroke in 2021, she would make a yearly trip to Peru. She traveled within the US as well as overseas to England, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Belgium and Ecuador. She had a generous heart. She loved to cook and would feed anyone that came by. When she traveled to Peru, she would take a suitcase full of clothes for people in need. What she loved the most was spending time with her grandchildren and her extended family. When her older siblings were still alive, they would throw the biggest reunion parties and have so much fun.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Trelles Sandoval and 11 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children, Monica (Mike) Armstrong, Karen (David) Chamblee, Catherine (Tom) Casto, David (Marlene) Trelles; grandchildren, Raa Oviedo, Addie Casto, JD Chamblee; siblings, Oscar Lynch, Olga Solari; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Lord & Stephens, West. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends the evening prior from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
