Sara Frances Fleeman, 89, died September 8, 2023.
A native of Oglethorpe County, she was a daughter of the late Grady and Evie Carter Smith and the widow of J.W. Fleeman. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Jacks and Gladys Bramlett, and a brother, Jimmy Smith.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST, with Rev. Aaron Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Winterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Survivors include six children, Peggy (Johnny) Hoyle, Patricia Bates, Brenda Crumley, Jean (Guy) Power, Greg (Lisa) Fleeman and Keith Fleeman; two sisters, Ethel Wilson and Edna Free; grandchildren, Cynthia (Jay) Boleman, Ken Bates, Michael (Teresa) Crumley, Melissa Crumley, Jeff Hoyle, Chad (Amanda) Power, Amanda (Chad) Chandler and Blake Fleeman; nine great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Hoyle, Guy Power, Michael Crumley, Chad Power, Jeff Hoyle and Chad Chandler.
