Ray Teaster

Ray Teaster, best known as “Crazy Ray”, passed away March 27, 2021 at his home.

Ray was born in Bristol, VA and graduated from Bristol, Tennessee High School. He retired after thirty-two years in the manufactured home business, but continued to oversee Crazy Ray’s Self Storage. He was an active member of Living Water Baptist Church.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife of forty-two years, Jane Beeler; his mother, Hattie Cowan; grandmother, Janie Flanery; and sister, Charlotte Norman.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Living Water Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of seven years, Ann; four daughters, Laurie (Greg) Tolbert, Jan (Jeff) Wiggins, Jo (Keith) Holloman, Stacey (Kevin) Gordon; eight grandchildren, Reid, Jacob, Kyle, Morgan, Haley, Paige, Heather and Lawson; seven great grandchildren and one on the way. Also surviving are two daughters-by-love, Missy LaMontague and Melanie Ellenberg and their extended families.
