Marty Lane Arthur

Marty Lane Arthur, 55, of Oconee County, died Wednesday, June 2, 2021. He was the only son of Chester A. and Clyde D. Arthur. Marty was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, spending time with his family in the mountains.

Marty is survived by his wife of seven years, Wanda “Dolly” Arthur; son, Christopher A. Arthur; two daughters, CeSierra N. Arthur and Jasmin Marie Murray; two granddaughters, Cheyenne Layne Arthur and Averee Marie Murray; two stepsons, Thomas Wayne Russell and Ryan Lee Russell; one step granddaughter, Anastasia Russell. Also surviving are three sisters, Jackie Moss of Athens, Janelle Brooks of Hull and Linda Self of Winterville; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
