Julius Thomas Young

Julius Thomas Young, 81, husband of 61 years to Patricia Ward Young, died Thursday, September 5, 2019. Born in Watkinsville, GA, he was the son of the late Joseph Tilden Young and Floy Lovern Young and was preceded in death by one son, Jonathan Tracy Young. Julius retired from Westinghouse/ABB and served in the US Air Force.  Survivors in addition to his wife include two children: Rhonda (Ronnie) Whitehead of Bogart and Wesley Charles Young of Bishop; siblings: Lila Driggers, Joan Thompson, Diana Coker and Clarence Young; three grandchildren: Michael Patterson, Jonathan Young and Brooke Whitehead and two great grandchildren: Trey Patterson and Maddie Patterson.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1PM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 until 1 at the funeral hone prior to the service.
