Joyce D. White

Joyce D. White, 83, passed away on February 17, 2021. Born on October 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Buris Ayers Brown and Jewett Frank Brown.

Joyce was a long-time member of Word of Life Church in Colbert where she was the fill in choir leader and would sing solos. She loved to write and sing gospel songs. She was always smiling, had a great attitude and loved her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl White; children, Chris White and Kimberly White; brothers, Benny Brown and Rufus Brown; sisters, Jean Byrum and Mary Farmer.

Survivors include her sisters, Sara (Crawford) Dove of Comer, Faye (Jeff) Beck of Starr, SC, Eloise (Dan) Nash of Carnesville, Barbara Dove of Carnesville, Larry (Gail) Brown of Carnesville; sisters-in-law Mae Brown and Connie Brown.

Services for Ms. Joyce will be private with Rev. Herman Nation officiating and a special prayer to be given by Rev. Stacy Lynch. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 5:30 pm to 6:30pm. Interment will take place at Winterville Cemetery.
