Joyce Wheless Adams passed away March 14, 2021. She was born in Jackson County in 1935 to Claude and Kate Wheless. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clinton, as well as her parents, sister Katie, brothers Harvey, Bill, Jimmy and Darrell. Survivors include brother-in-law Marvin Adams, sister-in-law Malinda Adams, sister-in-law Eloise Archer, sons Tracy (Susan), Alex (Cindy), grandsons Matthew (Taylor), Joe, Peter (Abby), Ben, Jacob, granddaughter Sarah Beth Wright (Lee), great granddaughter Makenzi Kate Adams and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

She retired from the Department of Agriculture in 1994 but she never stopped working. Her loving legacy will be as a selfless servant…serving Jesus by serving others. Her life was her grandkids and cooking for others. She was an active member at Mars Hill Baptist Church.

We’d like to say a special thanks to Jennifer, Alice and Mia…they loved mom and we are so grateful for the special care given her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mars Hill Baptist Church or the Gideons International in her honor.
