Jean Nicholson Cowart, 96, of Watkinsville, passed away on Friday, April
29th, 2022.
Born in Watkinsville, Georgia, Jean was the daughter of the late Robert M.
Nicholson and Jessie Osborn. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55
years, George Elwood Cowart, Sr..
She is survived by her children, Robert Hall, Malinda Lawson, and George
Cowart, Jr., her grandchildren, Derrell Hall, Thomas Raymer, Christy
Jackson, and her great-grandchildren Raelyn Jackson, Silas Jackson, and
Jackson Hall. Born Minnie Jean Nicholson, Jean was a life-long resident of Watkinsville
(excluding a brief time in California), who took great pride in her family
legacy and community.
Memorial Graveside services for family and close friends will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 6th, 2022, at Watkinsville City Cemetery.
