Obituary

Ian James Waters, 19, of Athens, GA passed away on May 4, 2023. 

Ian is the only son of Robert Eric Waters and Jennifer Maner Martin. He grew up in Madison and Oglethorpe counties. Ian was preceded in death by his grandparents Billy and Betty Jean Waters. 

Ian is survived by his mother and father, his fiancé Priscilla Ann Sutton, his grandparents Gary and Kathy Maner, his uncles Curtis Maner and Frank Waters, his aunt Pam Tucker, and many cousins from both sides of the family.

Ian loved playing sports, especially basketball and soccer.  He attended church at Cornerstone of Athens. He was funny, outgoing, and lively, but he was also so caring and loving. Ian will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 10:00 am at Lord and Stephens, East. Interment will follow at Glade Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, May 12, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
