Helen Loanna Kellum passed away at 90 years old on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

She was a loving wife, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Helen was one of eight children from Tucker, Ga. born to John Henry and China Rogers. Helen was the last surviving but has many surviving nieces and nephews. Helen was happily married to the late Richard L. Kellum for 28 years. Helen loved more than anything spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids. Helen spent 35 years working for AT&T (Bell South) where she retired and then worked 15 more years at Oconee State Bank. Helen was also a member at Forest Heights Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years, and a member of several groups like the Red Hat Club, Pioneers of Athens, and Eastern Star.

Helen is survived by her children Lamar (Elaine) Kellum from Watkinsville and Cindy (Andy) Strickland from Athens; Grandchildren Heather Jacobson, Daniel (Jessica) Kellum, Kyle (Kalin) Strickland, Mitch (Hannah) Strickland, and Brianna Strickland; Great Grandchildren Will Jacobson, Mason Strickland, Hunter Kellum, Drew Strickland, Avery Kellum, Kelsee Strickland and Baby Girl Strickland to arrive in April.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, WEST, Watkinsville. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
