Gilbert "Gil" Souza Peter Marks

Gilbert Souza Peter Marks, 79, of Bogart, gained his heavenly wings on
Monday, January 4, 2021.  He was the son of the late Frank Souza Marks
and Olivia Bagadeli.  Gilbert served his county in the National Guard
and a correctional officer at IW Davis Detention Center, Jefferson,
GA.  He was a member of Living Word Baptist Church, Bogart, GA.  He
served God through 25 years of music ministry including Voices One and
Choirs.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lucille
Dodd.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Linda Louise Marks.  His
children Johnny Howard Marks (Maureen), David Allen Marks (Felix),
Anthony Wayne Marks (Janea) , Robin Lynn Ansley, Robert Glynn Abbott
(Charlene), Jennifer Felish McHugh (Patrick), Daphney Nicole Watts
(Derrick), thirteen grandchildren: Madison, Forrest, Anthony, JR.,
Bailey, Brionna, Charlie, Luke, Michael, Christian, Alexandria, Little
John, Amanda, Christopher; seventeen great grandchildren: Ja’Kolbie, Ja'Kaiyah
Ja’Kenzie, Julia, Deliziah, Isabella, Rebecca, Eugene, Tory, Ryan,
Laura, Elijah, Forrest, JR., Michael, Cohen, Anna Claire, Paisley and
one great great granddaughter: Kaisley Grace; brother, Donald (Agatha) Marks.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Living
WordBaptist Church, Bogart, GA at 1PM with Pastors Larry Davison,
Gordon Robinson and Crist Camden officiating. Interment will follow
the service at Meadow Cemetery, Comer, GA. Grandsons and sons-in-law
will serve as pallbearers.
