Freddy Dennard Thrasher

Freddy Dennard Thrasher, 71, of Arnoldsville passed away Friday, November 26, 2021. Fred was the son of the late Dennard C. Thrasher and Dorothy S. Thrasher. Fred retired from the University of Georgia as Director of Central Research Stores after 30 years of service.

Survivors include his wife Kathy Copas Thrasher, his daughters Katie Redden (Justin), Kristy Bond (Brandon), and granddaughter Harper Redden.

Fred cherished his family and friends. One of his greatest pleasures was coaching and watching his girls play softball. He loved nature, wildlife, and especially his personal animals. Fred and his wife were baptized together, before their marriage, 45 years ago. He was a beloved husband and dad who gave of himself selflessly.

The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens Eastside on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Georgia Wildlife Federation. To protect others that we love, the family requests that visitors wear a mask.
