Faye Ellen Trotter

Faye Ellen Trotter, 82. She was the daughter of the late, Robert L. Cape and Gladys (Archie) Roland. She was preceded in death by daughter and son, Cathy Bowden and Thomas Nathan Trotter; brothers, Franklin Cape, Tommy Roland, and Jimmy Roland; a granddaughter, Michelle Langsford; a grandson, Cainon Trotter. Faye Ellen Trotter of Winterville. Ga went home to be with the Lord on May 11, 2023. She was a homemaker and employee at Fresh Air BBQ, where she retired in 2011.  Ms. Trotter was an avid gardener throughout her life, and enjoyed homegrown vegetables, making grape jellies, and growing many varieties of flowers. Ms. Trotter was a master seamstress who mended and crafted her family's clothes and a few wedding dresses. Ellen was self-reliant and resourceful and taught herself carpentry and general electric maintenance for the upkeep of her home. Ms. Trotter was humble, and gentle, and carried herself with quiet dignity all through her days. Most of all, Ms. Trotter was a mother, a grandmother, and great-grandmother and God-fearing Christian whose love, work ethic, family devotion, and life skills she imparted to her family.
Ms. Trotter devoted her life to her children and many grands.

Graveside services are Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Winterville Cemetery. The family will visit at the funeral home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 19, 2023.
Survivors include sons and daughters; Chuck (Susan) Brown, Cheri (Darrell) Laughlin, Carol Langsford, Craig Brown, Traci Trotter, Tricia (Justin Ozbolt) Dove, Teri (Jermaine) Grant; brother, Billy (Phyllis) Roland; twenty grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
