Claudia Green Roberson

Mrs. Claudia Green Roberson, age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2020.
Claudia was a native of Bostwick Ga in Morgan County. She was a graduate from North Georgia College and went on to become an elementary school teacher for 30+ years in DeKalb County. She was active in her community and involved in her retired teachers sorority. She was a long time member of Northwoods Baptist Church, and more recently Grace Fellowship. Claudia enjoyed exercising, shopping, cooking and reading. She was devoted to her family and beloved by all who knew her.
Claudia was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2012 and spent the last years of her life bravely fighting this disease. A special thank you to the staff and family at St. Mary's Highland Hills Memory Care for taking care of Claudia during this time.
Claudia was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Roberson; and daughter, Patricia Roberson Waldrop.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Charles Waldrop and wife Evelyn; her 3 granddaughters, Jennifer Murray and husband Jason, Stefanie Dobbs and husband Corey, and Adrienne Rosario and husband Chris;  and her 5 great grandchildren, Emma, Peyton, Cooper, Rhett and Avery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 19 at 12:00 pm, immediately followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home in Watkinsville, Ga.
Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Claudia.
