Obituary

Cathy Gail Whitehead, 63, of Oconee County, passed away on November 21, 2022. She was born on January 25, 1959, in Covington, Georgia.

Cathy was a devoted mother, wife and mimi.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Whitehead.

Survivors include her mother, Sara Criswell; children, Shane Whitehead (Wendy), Lee Whitehead, Leslie Whitehead; grandchildren, Lacy, Molly, Abby, Brody, Bo, Antonio, Helen, Javie, Cathy Grace; brother, Keith Smith; sister, Wanda Mitchell; sister-in-law, Peggy W. Dire; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022, at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Lord & Stephens, west, Watkinsville with Brother Tommy Fountain officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery.
