Catherine Moore Harden, 94, of Athens, Georgia died on September 1, 2022. The Daughter of the late Katie Belle and Ernest Lee Bracken, Catherine was born in Hattiesburg, MS, raised in Meridian, MS, and a graduate of Meridian High School. Moore, and brother Donald Bracken. She loved working with numbers and spent her career in jobs that reflected that skill. In 1993, she retired as the Financial Manager from the Decatur, GA office of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.
Catherine will be remembered by friends and relatives as a person who was forever young. Years to her were seen as only the addition of maturity and opportunities to add new friendships and further relationships with those around her. Easily approachable with her warm and welcoming smile, she was quick to recognize and pay compliments to the good qualities of friends and new acquaintances. She found beauty in most everything she encountered and made it her mission in life to enhance that beauty to its fullest extent using her God-given creativity.
Catherine will be missed but will remain forever young through the memories of her encouragement, smiles, compliments, and love. The family will have a visitation on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home (East) at 1:00 PM, service at 2:00 PM with a reception to follow at Cornerstone Church.
A special “thank you” to the wonderful, loving, and tender care that she received at Arbor Terrace and through the Agape Hospice Program.
