Aubrey Elizabeth Venditto

August 9, 1980 — September 14, 2022

Athens, Georgia

Aubrey Elizabeth Venditto, 42, of Athens, Georgia and formally of Tampa, Florida died unexpectedly on September 14th following a 3-month illness surrounded by her loving family.  Born August 9th, 1980 in Seattle, Washington to Lauren and Joe Venditto, she was an incredible daughter, sister, niece, and friend.  She grew up in Athens, Georgia, attending the University of Georgia and later graduating with a business degree from Piedmont College.  Her work ethic was unmatched.  She shared her father’s entrepreneurial spirit, and worked in business with him, beginning at Southern Textiles and Laminating, Inc., and later One More Mile Running Company.  Hating the cold, even mild Georgia winters, she relocated to Tampa, Florida and pursued a career in real estate, acquiring her Florida real estate license.

Aubrey was a talented athlete and avid equestrian.  She loved all sports, particularly Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and the Braves.  She was involved in numerous football drafts, finishing several seasons in first place (above the men).  Aubrey was an extremely talented cook and loved feeding and nurturing people.  She was a loving pet-parent and always felt her black lab Gordon, whom she lost in 2013, was her soul dog.

Aubrey was a spontaneous free spirit, a force, a spunky, full-of-life firecracker, who followed her heart’s path throughout her life.  She was the person you would want to turn to first in the wake of a crisis.  She would never miss an important life event and even moved to Wisconsin to support and be near her sister.  She shared a deep, devoted and loving relationship with her parents who supported her many and varied passions and career paths throughout her life.

She was a gorgeous, natural beauty with the most radiant smile and movie-star face but her inner beauty was the most remarkable.

Aubrey fell in love with childhood schoolmate Ryan Hannay.  Their star-crossed paths reunited in December of 2021 after their lives initially took them in different directions.

Aubrey is survived by her parents, Lauren and Joe Venditto, her sister Chelsea Venditto and brother-in-law Jody McCook, her dear aunts and uncles Beth and Paul Davis, Jill and Greg Burgett, and Liz Clouspy, her love Ryan Hannay, and her beloved dog Tony, as well as many other loving friends and family members.  A celebration of Aubrey’s life will be announced.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, Athens is entrusted with arrangements. www.lordandstephens.com.
