Obituary


Angela Ann Avery, 60, of Lexington, GA, died on June 23, 2022. Angela is survived by her daughter Sara Eberhart, granddaughter Lillian Eberhart, son-in-law Will Eberhart, parents Col. John Avery and Barbara Avery, sisters Jill Avery and Linda Wood, brother John Avery and their families. 
Angela was born in Nurmburg, Germany where her father was stationed with the US Army.  From a very young age, horses were her passion and she became a certified riding instructor with the British Horse Society before returning to the United States and settling in Georgia. Angela trained and competed her horses in competitions, winning a number of national titles. She graduated from Athens Technical College in 2014 with a degree in Biotechnology and worked in a Biotechnology research lab for the University of Georgia.  
The family will hold a visitation on Saturday, July 16th, at Lord and Stephens from 1 to 2pm. Memorial services will be held at 2pm. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Oglethorpe County Animal Clinic 706 743 8021
