Amy Elaine Mathis

Amy Elaine Mathis, 43, of Colbert, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

Amy was that most rare sort of person: a truly sweet, contented individual. She disliked no one and was never heard to utter an unkind word about anyone. Above all, she loved reading, her family, her dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie William Mathis, Jr.; her parents, Allen Junior Garmon and Patsy Elaine Garmon; step-daughter Brittney Walker; three siblings: Julie (Ricky) Reaves, Rhonda (Michael) Ottosen, and A.J. (Janet) Garmon; one granddaughter, Caitlin Walker; three nieces, two nephews, and her beloved dogs, Chloey (deceased) and Max.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, at Sonlight Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Joey Young and John Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Clark Cemetery in Lexington.
