Xavier Owen Padgett

Xavier Owen Padgett passed away on May 10, 2024, at his home in Athens, Georgia at the age of 23. Born on October 19, 2000, in Lawrenceville, he is the cherished son of Jennifer Kay (Schlutow) Padgett and Joel Allen Padgett and the loving brother of Chandler Allyn Schlutow, Chloe Jade Padgett, uncle of Orlin Bleu Kolodziejski.

Xavier was a 2019 graduate of Jefferson High School. His academic curiosity and intelligence shone brightly in the classroom as well as in his endeavors after high school while he attended UNG. Xavier, also known as X-Man, and most commonly X, loved MomoCon, Ren Faire, tabletop games, gaming, and any opportunity to showcase Japanese anime, and his foremost passion for aquatic life and aquariums. His whole being embodied the meaning of his name “Bright Young Warrior.” 

Xavier was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ron Padgett.  He is survived by father, Joel Padgett; mother, Jen Padgett; brother, Chandler Schlutow; sister, Chloe Padgett

Private services will be held at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home in Athens, Georgia on Saturday, May 18, 2024.  Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, Athens, GA, is in charge of arrangements for Xavier Owen Padgett.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Georgia Aquarium in his name.
