Willy Mathisen

Alwilda “Willy” Mathisen, 66, of Watkinsville, died October 3, 2021.

Born in Des Moines, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Henry W. and Mary Roden Brandt.  Willy attended Watkinsville First Baptist Church and spent a lot of her life mentoring and ministering to adolescents and young adults.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, David Mathisen; children, Jordan Mathisen (Tara), Julie Key (Kyle), Rory Mathisen (Jessica) and Whitney Mathisen; brother, Timothy Brandt and 7 grandchildren.
