It is with heavy hearts and deep love that the family of William G Koehlke Jr, 90 of Winterville, Georgia announces his peaceful passing.
William lived a life defined by honor, dedication and service. He proudly served his country as a United States marine for three years, a formative time in his life that shaped his character and brought him immense lifelong pride. Semper Fi. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to public safety as a dedicated veteran of law enforcement, spending his career protecting and serving his community his strength, quiet wisdom and unwavering sense of duty left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working a alongside him. Beyond his career, William had a massive heart for animals. His true passion was rescuing, feral cats, dedicating countless hours of his life to providing safety care and love to those that were forgotten or abandoned. Williams Legacy will live on through the family He leaves behind. He was a devoted life partner, a supportive brother, and a loving father, who always offered his children, a steady hand and unconditional support his guidance and protective nature will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
He survived by his; life partner, his son and daughter, his brother and sister, as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren
A burial service with full military honors will be held Friday, July 31, 2026 at 10 AM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida, family and friends are invited to gather to honor his life and his service.
