William Eldred Crawford

William E. Crawford (Bill), passed peacefully in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, Ga. He was surrounded by loving friend and family.

Bill was born in Toms River, NJ on October 9, 1956, he was 68 years old. Bill loved all things with a motor, he retired from the Auto Industry, as an Auto Mechanic, working alongside his best friend Tom Tesi at Riverside Auto. Bill currently resided in Danielsville, Ga. where he spent the last few years of his life restoring small antique engines and lawn tractors with his two sidekicks Roxie, his German Shepherd, and his nephew Miguel Rivera. Bill was always there to provide a helping hand for those around him in need and who appreciated his kindness.

Bill is survived by his sisters, Faith Crawford and Barbara Crawford, Brother, Leroy Horwedel, and Stepfather Leroy Horwedel Jr., Ex-wife, Ruby Ryan, Granddaughter Lauryn Love (Mathew) and four Great-grandchildren (Jackson Maxey, Kynslea Jerina, Kaisen Jerina, & Kolton Jerina), Granddaughter Hailey Love and one Great-grandson (Kaiden Lane), and Grandson Triston Love.

His Georgia Family: Miguel, Justine, Johanna, Gabby, Jeremiah, Zachariah, Vanessa, Phillip (Destiny) Children: Mila, Ivy, Reed, Malorey (Nick): Children: Mariah, Junior, Layla, Ray and Kathy and Fred.

Bill was preceded in death by his Mother Virginia Horwedel, and Brothers, Donald Crawford, John Crawford, and Daughter, Faye Marie Love.
