William J. "Billy" Daniel

May 14, 1927 — April 19, 2012

William J. "Billy" Daniel, 84, went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2012.
He was the son of the late Carlton and Ruby Johnson Daniel. He retired from USDA Forestry Service, where he received numerous outstanding achievement awards. He was a member of Comer Baptist Church for over 50 years, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was an active member of Comer Lions Club. He was a loving Daddy, Papa and husband.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joyce Morrison Daniel, sons and daughters-in-law Dennis (Kathy) Daniel of Colbert, Darrell (Cindy) Daniel and David (Betsy) Daniel, both of Watkinsville; grandchildren Ashley (Michael) Caputa, Candice, Justin, Jennifer, Dempsey, Kimzey and Haleigh Daniel, and two great-grandchildren Jada and Chapel Caputa. He is also survived by three sisters, Ouida Phillips, Myra Peace and Ann Clary and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Comer Baptist Church on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 2PM with Rev. Rodney Owens and Rev. Stuart Lang officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 on Friday at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Comer Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 208 Comer, GA 30629.
