William Jerry Brooks

William Jerry Brooks, 43, died suddenly, Saturday, April 30, 2011. Born in Athens, Ga., he was the son of William Jerry Brooks Sr. and Carolyn Noell Brooks. He was employed by Southeastern Testing Labs, Bishop, Ga. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Julia Pritchett Brooks; children, Bill Gaddis of Hull, Judy Clark of Hull, Elizabeth Burgess of Ila, Samantha Brooks, Travis Brooks and Emily Brooks all of Elberton; brother, David Brooks of Jefferson; and six grandchildren: Kiara Cade, Bryanna Burgess, Meghan Waldroup, Zaccary Waldroup, Kaitlyn Gaddis and Zeke Gaddis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2011 at the funeral home. Lord & Stephens, East, has charge of arrangements.
