William Kenneth "Ken" Anderson

William Kenneth "Ken" Anderson, 77, entered his Heavenly home on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Born on October 13, 1948, in Belton, South Carolina, Ken was the son of the late William Bond Anderson and Frances Elizabeth Anderson. He was also preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Chad Anderson, and his brother, Larry Anderson.

Ken was raised in Belton, South Carolina, where he cherished his childhood, growing up alongside his brothers and surrounded by a close-knit extended family. Those early years shaped the kind, humble, and family-centered man he would become.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Middle Tennessee State University and went on to build a successful career in purchasing, planning, and product management. He dedicated 24 years to Reliance Electric and later spent 10 years with Merial. Throughout his career, Ken was known not only for his professionalism and work ethic but also for his kind heart, welcoming spirit, quick wit, and genuine care for everyone around him. To many of his coworkers, he became more than a colleague—he became family.

Ken was first and foremost a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Linnea Schmidt Anderson. Together they built a home centered on faith, love, and selfless devotion to their family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linnea Anderson; his two sons, Tyson Anderson (wife Reagan) and Corey Anderson; his grandsons, Brant Anderson and Cade Anderson; and his brother, Richard "Buddy" Anderson.

To his grandchildren and those who loved him most, he was affectionately known as Papa Bear. The name fit him perfectly. He was a steady source of strength, wisdom, compassion, and unconditional love. His family was always his greatest priority, and there was never a question that he would put others before himself.

Ken's faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life. He lived his faith daily through acts of kindness, generosity, and service, always willing to lend a helping hand or share God's love with those around him. Even during his final days in the hospital, as his health declined, he continued to encourage others and share the hope of Christ. His unwavering faith was a testimony to everyone who knew him.

While his family grieves his absence deeply, they find comfort in knowing that Ken is now whole, healed, and rejoicing in the presence of his Savior. They also find peace in imagining the joyful reunion as his grandson, Chad—the one who first called him "Papa Bear"—welcomed him home into the arms of Jesus.

Ken leaves behind a legacy of faith, integrity, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. His gentle spirit, generous heart, infectious sense of humor, and steadfast example will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Though he will be deeply missed every day, his family rejoices in the promise that this is not goodbye, but "until we are together again."
