Weebie Stamps

Weebie Ann Stamps, 90, of Coatesville, PA, formerly of Rossville, GA, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024.

Mrs. Stamps, a Madison County, GA native, lived with her daughter for the past 2 years in Coatesville, PA. She lived prior to that in Rossville, GA for 16 years. Born July 13, 1933, in Neese, GA, she was the daughter of Grover L. Jones, Sr. and Pauline Bullock Jones.

She was a homemaker that coordinated the six transfers her family made while taking care of her children and supporting their sports and interests. She was a long-time member of Hull Baptist Church, Hull, GA and currently a member of First Baptist Church of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA where she was an active member of the Lydia Sunday School Class.

Weebie was a beloved wife of the late Horace H. Stamps; loving mother to daughter, Tonya M. Klughardt (Brian) of Coatesville, PA; sons, Ronald W. Stamps of Carbondale, IL and Robert W. Stamps (Teresa) of Ringgold, GA; adoring grandmother to Randall Stamps (Shelby), Brandon Klughardt, Michael Stamps (Emmalee), Kevin Klughardt (Emily), and Elena Stamps Cline (Charles); proud great-grandmother to William Bielefeld, Abigail Stamps, Harley Cline, Lucas Stamps and Sophia Klughardt; and dear sister to Grover “Jr” Jones (Betty) of Hull, GA; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Russell W. Stamps and brothers, Warren “Buddy” Jones and Oscar Paul “O.P.” Jones.

Funeral services will be at Hull Baptist Church, Hull, GA at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Visitation will precede at 1:00 PM at the church. The Rev. Randy Crowe will officiate, and entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens, GA.
