Wayne Monroe Carey

Wayne Monroe Carey, 84, of Danielsville, Georgia passed away peacefully on November 18 at his home surrounded by his family. Wayne enjoyed gardening, farming and raising cattle, and spending time with his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his two sons and their wives, Chris and Dawn Carey of Odum, Georgia and Chad and Erika Carey of Comer, Georgia; five grandchildren, Chase and Dylan Carey of Danielsville, Blair Sullivan and her husband Austin of Jesup, Georgia, Macy Carey of Odum, Georgia, and Ashley Willoughby and her husband Jackson of Hull, Georgia. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses Winfred (Mary Ann) Carey, Wanda (Marion) Atkinson, Wade (Gwen) Carey, and Wendell (Michelle) Carey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ford and Louise Carey, brother Wesley Carey, and grandson Hunter Berry.

A celebration of his life will be held at Danielsville Evangelical Church at 2:00pm Friday, November 21, 2025, with Pastors Dwayne Dickerson, Glenn Lyles, and Keith Nix officiating. The family will receive family and friends at 1:00pm prior to the service.
