Virginia Anne Waicul

August 6, 1940 — July 29, 2023

Bogart

Virginia “Ginny” Anne Waicul was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She passed suddenly on July 29, 2023 at age 82.

She was born to Arthur and Anne Schiller on August 6, 1940 in Astoria, NY and was the middle child of 3 girls. Ginny loved spending summers in upstate NY at her grandmother’s country house.  After graduating from high school, she worked at various jobs before she met the love of her life, James Waicul. They were married on October 9, 1965.  She had 4 children and lived on Long Island until 1987 when they moved to Maryland and then to Georgia in 1991.

Ginny loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family.  She enjoyed flower gardening and always had vases of fresh flowers around the house.  The holidays were her favorite, especially Christmas and her home was always decorated beautifully.  Spending time with her children and grandkids was one of the joys of her life.  In 2007 she and James bought a lake house to bless the family and make years of memories on the water which she loved.  She was always willing to volunteer and could be found on the sidelines cheering for her grandsons’ sporting events.  Socializing was her absolute favorite, everyone that met her fell in love with her contagious spirit.  Along with people, she was an animal lover.  She was understanding, kind, accepting and loved by all.

She is survived by her husband James, her children Laura Waicul, James Waicul, Christine Caviness and Kim Heath (Ben), grandchildren Denise and Drew Nemcek, CJ  and Jennifer Caviness, Brady and Jackson Heath and great granddaughter Bria Tazewell as well as her sisters Eileen Toomey (John) and Valerie Schaefer and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
