Vionette Augusta Ruberte

Vionette (Vicky) Augusta Ruberte was a wife, mother and grandmother to whom she was affectionately known as Mita. She previously served as a Director of Religious Education for Saint Benedict’s Catholic Church in Duluth and El Centro Catolico in Sandy Springs and teacher for Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Orlando, Fl. She previously served at Saint Vincent de Paul Society in Atlanta where she started a housing program for homeless men.

On the Saturday evening of December 27th, 2025 she passed way. She is survived by a son, William and four grandchildren, Kate, Joey, Olivia, and Liam. 

Her favorite devotion was the Rosary to Our Lady of Fatima. She was a woman that put her faith God throughout her life, served him faithfully and is now at home in the peace of his presence.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 9:30AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 958 Epps Bridge Parkway, Athens, GA 30606. Interment will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 11:00AM at Georgia Veterans Cemetery, 2617 Vincent Highway, Milledgeville, GA 31061.
