Violet Jean Mize, 77, of Carlton, GA, passed away on May 24, 2026. Born on June 21, 1948, Jean will be remembered as a devoted mother whose presence touched the lives of many. She attended beautician school and later became a mechanic, working in the shop she proudly owned with her late husband, Russell Mize. The love, strength, and kindness she shared with those around her will never be forgotten.

Jean is survived by her siblings Howard, Randall, Allen, Gina, and Linda; her children Christine, Angie, and Rusty; her grandchildren Christy, Adam, Jack, Dale, and Elisa; her great‑grandchildren Phillip, Kayle, Skylar, John, Abel, Alden, Milo, Austin, and Thad; and her great‑great‑grandchild Kingston. Each of them will forever cherish her memory.

Jean went to her eternal home where she was reunited with her husband Russell; her daughter Donna; her parents Katie and Will; her brothers Keith and Van; and her sister Lisa.

A service honoring Jean will be held on May 26, 2026 2:00 PM at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home in Danielsville, GA. The visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the funeral home.
