Athens - Vera Annette Penn, 68, died March 16, 2007.
Born in Wilcox County, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Audrey Braswell Jones. She was retired from The University of Georgia School of Journalism and Mass Communication as assistant to the Dean for Student Affairs,
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST. Interment will be at 4:00 PM at Sunnyside Cemetery, Cordele, GA.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond F. Penn; sons, Ronald Penn of Athens and Randall Penn of Norcross and sister, Wilma Jones of Macon.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
