Tommy Barner

Tommy Lee Barner, 57, of Arnoldsville, died June 20, 2023.

Born in Barrow County, GA, he was a son of the late Leroy Barner and Pauline Marshall Barner.  Tommy was a driver for Minish Trucking.  An avid racecar fan, he loved racing #34 at Winder Barrow Speedway.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Lynn Sorrow Barner; daughter, Nicole Proctor and her husband Mark of Danielsville; son, Scott Barner and his wife Lindsey of Arnoldsville; son, Austin Edwards of Arnoldsville; daughter, Tabitha Moore and her husband Billy of Royston; sister, Sandy Crowe and her husband Jamie of Braselton and brother, Danny Barner of Danielsville; 13 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The  family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens, EAST, Friday, June 23, 2023 from 10:00 AM until Noon.  Graveside services will follow at 12:30 PM at Athens Memory Gardens with Jamie Crowe officiating.

Pallbearers will be Edward Crowe, Jonathan Crowe, Timothy Crowe, Reid Coley, Billy Moore and Kenneth Grizzle.
