Todd McLure

Larry Todd McLure, lovingly known as Todd, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at the age of 50.

Todd was born on October 26, 1975, in Athens, Georgia, a town that forever held a special place in his heart. Raised in Athens, he developed a lifelong love for the University of Georgia, from where he later attended, graduated, and met his future wife. Being a Georgia Bulldog wasn't just something Todd cheered for on Saturdays—it was a part of who he was. His passion for the Bulldogs was matched only by his unwavering support of any other of Atlanta's professional sports teams, and he never missed an opportunity to celebrate a victory or remain hopeful through a difficult season.

Todd was preceded in death by his father, Larry Guy McLure and his beloved brother, Timothy Guy McLure.He is survived by his loyal wife, Lindsay Halloran McLure of Roswell, Georgia; his incredible twin sons, Reed Timothy McLure and Nolan Porter McLure; his resilient mother, Jemmay McLure; and countless extended family members, lifelong friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, and generous spirit.

For the past twenty years, Todd and Lindsay built a beautiful life together in Woodstock, Georgia, where they devoted themselves to raising their twin boys. Some of Todd's greatest joys came from standing on the sidelines of soccer fields across the Southeast, proudly cheering on Reed and Nolan throughout their years of competitive soccer. Watching them continue their athletic careers at Young Harris College filled him with immense pride and happiness. His family was the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

A memorial service celebrating Todd's life will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia. The service will be officiated by Franklin Scott and Kevin Turner. Attire, should you choose to comply, will be UGA gameday clothes. Anything red, black, red and black, or Bulldawg adorned will be acceptable.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Kidney Fund in his honor.
