Tina Hardigree
February 13, 1944 – January 14, 2026
Tina Hardigree, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, went to be with her Lord on January 14, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on February 13, 1944, in Colbert, Georgia, Tina was the daughter of the late J.P. Moon and Gladys McCarty Moon.
Tina met her first love, Kenneth LeClade Fleming, while in high school, and the two were eventually happily married. During this marriage, she was blessed with her daughter Michelle Fleming Thomas (James Thomas), and her grandson Braxton LeClade Thomas. She began her professional life working at the University of Georgia in several positions before following her entrepreneurial spirit. She was also an active member of the Women of Georgia Power and proudly served as its president. In 1980, she opened Pitty Pat Junction, a home décor shop that quickly became a reflection of her creativity, warmth, and impeccable taste. The shop remained her passion until 2002, when she closed its doors following the passing of Kenneth. During those years, her heart was devoted to her three greatest loves: her daughter Michelle, her grandson Braxton, and Pitty Pat Junction.
In time, Tina found love again and married William B. “Toby” Hardigree in 2004. They were married in St. Simons Island, Georgia, a place that would hold deep meaning for them. Together, they built a life centered around family, cherished friendships, and joyful days by the sea. Tina spent many happy hours at their St. Simons home and also served the community as president and treasurer of the Gates at St. Simons Homeowners Association. In 2021, Tina and Toby sold their St. Simons home and settled permanently in Watkinsville, Georgia.
Wherever she lived, Tina’s presence was felt—especially at her daughter’s flower shop, Peddler’s Wagon. In recent years, she spent much of her time there working alongside Michelle, where she was beloved by friends, customers, and colleagues alike. Tina had a true gift for floral design and was especially known for her gorgeous arrangements and her beautiful, signature Christmas bows.
Tina is survived by her loving husband, William B. “Toby” Hardigree; her daughter, Michelle Thomas (James Thomas); her grandson, Braxton LeClade Thomas; her step-grandchildren Courtney Thomas and Brittany Carr, as well as her step-children Amy Thompson (Fred Thompson), Bart Hardigree (Marti Hardigree), Matt Hardigree, and Russell Faulkner.
She is also survived by her nephew Michael Embry (Angie Embry); their children Kendra Reynolds (Kenny Reynolds) and Karissa Smith (Mark Smith). Additional survivors include her nephews David Moon and Bruce Moon, as well as many great grandchildren, step grandchildren, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, WEST in Watkinsville, GA, with Services following at 3 p.m. Her burial will follow at the Oconee Memorial Gardens.
