Timothy Lee Christopher, a devoted family man, veteran, and skilled tradesman, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in his hometown of Athens, Georgia. Born on October 29, 1942, in Athens, Tim lived a life marked by dedication, service, and a deep love for his family and community.
A proud graduate of Athens High School in 1960, Timothy’s commitment to his country was demonstrated through his honorable service in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. His years in the military exemplified his courage and steadfast spirit, qualities that defined his character throughout his life.
Following his military service, Timothy devoted 26 years to the Quality Glass Company, contributing his expertise and steadfast work ethic. Later, he joined the Clarke County School District, where he skillfully worked in the carpenter shop and served as the trusted locksmith. After two decades of dedicated service, he retired in 2004, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and reliability.
Timothy was a man of many passions. He cherished mountain camping trips and family vacations to Daytona Beach, creating treasured memories with his loved ones. Woodworking was a particular joy for him, as was attending gun shows and outings to the firing range with close friends. Above all, he valued the time spent with his family, a testament to the warmth and love that filled his life.
He is survived by his daughter Sandy Bozek; his grandchildren Taylor Bozek and Nicholas Bozek; and his great-grandson Dominic Bozek, all of Athens, Georgia. Timothy was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rosemary Christopher and his parents, Harold and Irene Christopher.
A memorial service to honor the life and legacy of Timothy Lee Christopher will be held on March 18, 2026, 3:00 PM at Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes Athens, located at 4355 Lexington Road, Athens, GA 30605.
His memory will remain a cherished part of those who knew him and the lives he touched throughout his long and meaningful life.
