Thomas M. Rose, 75, of Athens, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
Born in Durham, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Dr. Jesse Lee Rose and Lou Ethel Abernathy Rose Poore. Tom was a Veteran of the United States Navy and he retired from the University of Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Barton Rose.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Wakae Toshi Rose; sister-in-law, Anne Berrong Rose; niece, Leigh Rose McRae and nephew, Ronald Ridgeway Rose.
No memorial services are scheduled at this time.
