Thomas Harrison Broach, 77, of Athens, Georgia, passed away on October 26, 2026.
Born on November 8th, 1948, in Monroe, Georgia, he was the son of the late Thomas Watson and Dorothy Irene Broach. He was known to his family in Monroe as Harrison. Later in life, he was known as Tom and then Pappy (or Happy Pappy).
Tom loved laughter and living life to the fullest. He was an avid Georgia Bulldawg fan and enjoyed listening to music, fishing, cooking on his Green Egg, riding his Harley-Davidson, and sitting on his screened in back porch. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family, who brought him his greatest joy. His absolute favorite was being at home with his family.
Tom was loved by everyone he ever met. That included his colleagues at the Golden Pantry Food Stores where he was District Supervisor for over 20 years, as well as everyone he met at the University of Georgia Health Center, from where he retired.
Survivors include his loving wife, Vicki Elaine Broach (Pickelsimer); son Jason Richard Broach; Daughters, Pamela Christine Atkins, Jennifer Kealy Broach, Dallas Kalin Broach, and Jessica Elaine Kirby; and grandchildren Farrin Atkins, Taylor James, Eli James, Jason Paul, Rylee Broach, Ella Broach, and Forest Kirby-Granados, and one great grandchild; sisters Shirley Irene Meadows, Dorothy Jean Stephens, Lillie Mae Hamrick, Lisa Ann Anglin and Sherry Lane Murrell (Phil Murrell); brothers Johnny Nathan Broach (Teresa Broach), Jacky Ray Broach (Brenda Broach), James Robert Broach (Belinda Broach).
