Terri Alewine

Terri Marie Alewine, a native of Athens, Georgia, passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 56, surrounded by her family. 

Of all the titles Terri held throughout her life, none brought her more pride or joy than “Mimi.” Her children and grandchildren were truly the light of her life, her greatest blessings and her proudest accomplishments.

A true Georgia girl through and through, Terri was a devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan. She loved cheering on her Dawgs and took great pride in her Georgia roots.

Terri also had a special love for the beach, a place she often referred to as her “happy place.” There was something about the sound of the waves, the sand and the ocean breeze, that brought her peace.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Polly Alewine.

She is survived by her daughter, Lindsay (Ethan) Slaughter, her son, Ryan Davison; her father, Sammy Alewine; and her brother, Todd (Connie) Alewine. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Chesley, Evie, and Hazel. Plus, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and loved ones. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 16th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Lord and Stephens, West, Watkinsville. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Larry Davison officiating. A celebration of Terri’s life will take place at her brother’s home at 1:00 pm.

Above all, Terri’s greatest legacy will always be the love she poured into her family and friends. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through her family, the lives she touched, and the memories that will forever be treasured.

In addition to sending flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House in her memory.
