Danielsville

Terie Lynn Noah, age 74 of Carnesville, GA passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 7th, 2025.

Terie was born June 9, 1950 in San Diego, CA to Elizabeth “Kay” and David “Buster” Curran. She married Richard Noah in 1978 and enjoyed cross-country road trips and settling down on a small farm in Franklin County, GA. She was a talented homemaker, compassionate friend and neighbor and loved caring for all kinds of animals. She shared her passion for animals and specifically dogs by frequently volunteering at the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter. Her greatest joy in this life was helping to raise her grandson born in 2011.

She brought happiness to everyone she knew. Terie was known for being an incredibly compassionate and intentional friend who mindfully maintained relationships with loved ones over the years. Terie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by her two sons, Shayler and Shawn Noah (Christy), her beloved grandson Curran Noah, and her dog River. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all.

If you would like to make a donation in Terie’s honor, the family encourages donations to be made to the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter.

The family will host an outdoor gathering at the Old Tugaloo River Bridge off highway 123 (also known as Broken Bridges) in the coming weeks.

Terie leaves us with this powerful poem to share:

“Their Light Shines On:

Our loved ones leave behind a light that will never dim or fade. It’s kept bright by the love we feel and the memories we made. It can warm us like a candles glow and help bring comfort too. And no matter where you go, you’ll find it’s always close to you. And in the darkest times remember in our hearts their light is strong. So, every time we think of them- their memory shines on.”
