Susan Marie Weaver Lumpkin
Susan Lumpkin, born April 1964, passed away peacefully April 18, 2023, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Chris Lumpkin and daughter, Elizabeth and her brother and two sisters.
Susan was a teacher for over 35 years, the last twenty years in Clarke County. She is well remembered for her kind and caring gentle nature by family, co-workers and students. She dedicated her life to teaching the wonders of art to her students. Often former students would reach out to her and tell her what a wonderful influence she was to them.
She will be well missed as a positive bright soul on this earth.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 am at Tuckston United Methodist Church with Dr. John Brown, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, April 21, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
