Stevie Pruitt, a devoted servant of the Lord and a pillar of kindness to all who knew him, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026. A man whose life was a testament to his faith, Stevie lived by the principle of putting others before himself, truly embodying the spirit of a "good and faithful servant."
Stevie was perhaps best known for his voice. As a Southern Gospel singer for many years, he shared the gospel through music, lifting spirits and testifying to the grace of God in churches and concert halls alike. Beyond his music, he was known for his legendary generosity; he was the kind of man who would literally give the shirt off his back for anyone in need, never seeking credit, only seeking to help.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lori Pruitt; his children, Joshua Pruitt and Angela Santana; and his cherished grandchildren, Mariah, Destiny, Jordan, Jonathon, Hannah, and Levi, who were the light of his life.
Stevie is reunited in Heaven with those who preceded him in death: his mother, Blanch; his father, Joshua; his brothers, Ronnie, Joey, and Ricky; and his sister, Helen.
While our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Stevie is now singing in the heavenly choir, standing in the presence of the Lord he loved so dearly.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." — 2 Timothy 4:7-8
