Athens, GA - Steve Edwin Edney, Sr., 53, died February 6, 2007.
A native of Meridian, MS, he was a son of the late Hilery W. and Annie Louise Boswell, Edney. He was a graduate of Greenville High School, Greenville, MS and was employed with the Federal Government for twenty-nine years.
Graveside services will be Thursday, February 8, 2007, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, Meridian, MS. The family will receive friends Thursday at Webb Funeral Home, Meridian, MS from noon until service time.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Edwin Edney, Jr. and Sean Thomas Edney, both of Titusville, FL; sister, Mary Ann Jackson of Braxton, MS; brothers, Joseph Edney, Greenville, MS and Daniel P. Edney, M.D. of Vicksburg, MS; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at Lord and Stephens, EAST, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Annie L. Edney Scholarship Fund at William Carey College,498 Tuscan Ave Box 141, Hattiesburg, MS 39401.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of local arrangements.
