Stephen Byron Chambers, age 73 of Greensboro, Georgia, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025. Born September 21, 1951, in Atlanta, Ga to the late James B. Chambers and Ina K. Chambers. Stephen was preceded in death by infant sister Donna Chambers.

Surviving is wife of 18 years Patty Lynn Chambers; Son Brandon (Katherine) Chambers, daughters, Jennifer and Amanda Simpson; grandchildren Haley (Joshua) Herrington, Ryder Meadows, Macy Nichols, Easton and Carter Vickery, Jane Chambers; great-grandchildren Silas Herrington; Brothers Don Chambers and Jeffrey (Courtney) Chambers; nephews Bryan J. Chambers, Phillip Chambers, Merritt Chambers and niece McCrae Chambers.

Steve served as a faithful member of the 14th GA Lt Artillery Company C for 27 years. When he wasn’t doing reenacting he spent his time hunting, doing yard work, or spending time with his family, He loved all things sports and spent a good amount of his time coaching his son during the years he played. He was a devoted hardworking man who spent his career working heavy machinery and driving big trucks before he retired in 2007. Steve was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all those that loved him.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Zion Baptist Church, Stone Mountain, GA. Reverend Joey Young officiating. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the family on their GoFundMe page would be greatly appreciated.
