Watkinsville

Stephanie Page Gamble, 46, wife of William Frank Eberhart  Jr., passed away  Monday, December 5, 2022. She was a native Athenian and the daughter of Steve and Sandra Gamble of Athens. After graduating in 1995 from Cedar Shoals High School, she earned a degree from the University of Georgia in Biology in 2000. She began her career at Zaxby’s as a cashier at the Greenville, SC location. Through her hard work and tireless dedication, she became the first female Vice President for Zaxby’s Franchising.  In this role, she led the menu innovation team for many, many years. She was also very instrumental in developing policies and procedures for store operations, supply chain, and many other aspects of the business. She had a true love for this company and her other colleagues as well. If you knew her, she would always say I have a family at home and a family at work, and I love each of them dearly. She will be remembered for her never-ending concern for others, as she always put their needs in front of her own. She truly loved the outdoors, beach, traveling, and cooking.  She was a strong and determined woman who had passion and zest for everything she did in life. Animals were extremely important to Stephanie; she truly adored her dogs Trapper and Roscoe. During her younger years, she rode horses and competed in countless shows throughout the Southeast. Stephanie was a very dedicated and loving mother by marriage who truly adored her kids and was always concerned for their wellbeing over her own. In addition to her husband Frank and her parents Steve and Sandra, survivors include: her children by marriage Sarah Jane and Joiner Eberhart of Watkinsville. A memorial service celebrating Stephanie’s life will take place on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Alps Road Presbyterian Church, 380 Alps Road, Athens, GA, with Pastor Bob Bohler and Pastor Deb Trimpe officiating.
