Stacie Lynn Masters, 54, of Bogart, passed away on February 22, 2026.
Stacie was a graduate from Murray State University graduating with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1993. Upon graduating, she began her career at the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet division for environmental services where her hard work and high potential led her to be promoted in quick succession beginning as a first level chemist and ending her career there as an environmental control supervisor in 2015. She then began working with the EPA where she continued to excel and receiving frequent promotions. During her career she earned numerous awards and acknowledgements including, Laboratory Services Branch Manager EPA Region 4 Laboratory Services & Applied Science Division. Outstanding supervisor nominee (2021 EPA), bronze medal recipient for merging SESD’s quality management systems (EPA 2018), bronze medal for leading bioavailability team (EPA 2016), Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection outstanding employee (2014, 2013, 2012) and numerous more.
While her hard work and dedication to her career was shown through the numerous awards and promotions throughout her career, her greatest accomplishment was her family. Stacie was a loving mother, wife and sister and had a special bond with those who knew her. She will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Helen Pollock; sister in law, Debra McManis; aunt, Bessie Stroup.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, John Kevin Masters; daughters, Emma Kate Masters, Elana Grace Masters; brother, Dan (Monta) Pollock, Brother-in Laws Harry (Deanna) Keith Masters, Steve McManis; nieces and nephews, Juniper Masters (Colby Desormeau), Ellianna (Austin) Shipp, Cody (Krystine) Pollock, Peyton (Ashley) Pollock, Brodie Pollock, Brett (Madalyn)Pollock; great nephew, Sutton Vern Pollock; great niece, Kamryn Grace Pollock; family friends, Darlene O’Nan (Bill Parker), Stephanie (Joe) McCarthy.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, WEST. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.
