Sonya Maria Spratlen

Sonya Maria Spratlen, 56, of Athens, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023.

The daughter of James Travis and Sue Edwards Travis, Sonya was an Athens native who had recently resided in Hartwell, GA for seven years. Sonya served as a full-time Jehovah’s Witness pioneer minister. She also volunteered at the Jehovah’s Witness world headquarters for 11 years. Her ministry was her life.

Along with her parents, Sonya is survived by her husband of 25 years, Marcelle Spratlen, and her triplet siblings.
