Shirley Nan Epps

Shirley Nan ”Nanny” Epps, 90, of Pocataligo, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026.

A lifelong resident of Madison County, Mrs. Epps was the daughter of the late Odis and Revonda Jordan. She was a devoted member of Providence Baptist Church for many years and, at the time of her passing, was the church's oldest living member at 90 years of age. Mrs. Epps found great joy in quilting and was well known for baking cakes to share with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved husband, Clarence Epps, whom she married in 1952; her son, Darrell Epps; great-grandson, Brodye Willis; son-in-law, Bruce Willis and her siblings, Odis Jordan, Jr., Rajah Jordan, Oneita Hart, Linda Adams and Ella Faye Jordan.

Survivors include her children, Deborah Willis, Tim Epps, Tracy Willis (Ricky), Darien Epps and daughter-in-law, Robin Epps; brother, Kenneth Jordan; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Providence Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm at the church.
